Why sterling silver.
Solid 925 sterling silver, cast once. No plating, no filler, no brass core. Here is what that actually means, and why nothing else made the cut.

Solid 925 sterling silver, cast once. No plating, no filler, no brass core. Here is what that actually means, and why nothing else made the cut.
01
925 means 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper. The alloy every hallmark on earth recognises as sterling. Anything softer dents in a pocket. Anything with more filler is not silver, whatever the listing says.
02
Plated pieces wear through to the base metal in months. Every gram here is silver. Cut it anywhere and it is silver all the way through, because it is cast that way, not coated afterward.
03
Silver darkens with wear and air. That is the material, not damage. A wipe with a dry cloth brings the shine back. I would rather tell you that now than have it surprise you later.
04
Stainless will not take procedural detail the way cast silver does. The surface reads flat where silver casts crisp. Silver is also priced so that one-of-one, cast-to-order actually makes sense, instead of an option only for someone's tenth ring.
